This year, the energy surrounding the program has once again been electric, with a staggering increase in applications. Founded by Commercial Director, Olivia Fitzsimons, the scheme bridges the gap for emerging talent by providing the technical mentorship, rate negotiation skills, and on-set etiquette needed to thrive in a competitive industry
💥 Olivia stated, ‘We are thrilled to see the scheme entering its third consecutive year. Established to support individuals aspiring to build careers in DIT and video production, the programme provides a strong foundation for professional development. Through access to a diverse team of freelance technicians working across a wide range of productions, and our experienced in-house staff, trainees gain valuable hands-on experience and develop the practical skills and guidance needed to succeed in the industry’
DIT & Video Trainee Sami Taylor-Ward shared their excitement, ‘I’m really excited to get hands-on with this amazing scheme and use all of my skills from the past 3 years to gain a deeper experience in the world of DIT and Video!’
James Raine, also part of the 2026-27 cohort told us, ‘I am excited to begin my industry journey with Digital Orchard. I look forward to collaborating with amazing people and gaining practical on-set training’
